Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SageRouter ("SageRouter," "we," or "us"), a product and service of Sage AI LLC, collects, uses, stores, and discloses information about you when you use our website at https://sagerouter.ai/ and our related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into, and made a part of, the SageRouter Terms of Service.

SageRouter is an aggregator that provides access to third-party large language model APIs ("Models"). This policy describes what we collect when you use the Service and, just as importantly, what we do not collect.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you register for an account, we collect the information needed to create and secure your login: your email address, an optional display name, and a password. Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash; we never store your plaintext password. Each account may have one or more members, each with their own email and role (owner or member).

1.2 API Keys

When you create an API key, we store a cryptographic hash of the key, a short non-secret prefix (used to identify the key in your dashboard), and any label or tag you choose to assign. The full plaintext key is shown to you once at creation and is not stored. Tags you assign are copied onto usage records so you can group your own usage.

1.3 Usage and Billing Records

When you make API calls through the Service, we record metering and billing metadata for each request: the timestamp, the Model requested, any tag on the API key used, the number of input and output tokens, and the resulting cost and charge in cents. We also maintain your account balance, auto-recharge settings, a ledger of balance changes (deposits, usage charges, and adjustments), and deposit records that reference a payment-processor session identifier.

1.4 Support Communications

If you open a support ticket through the Service, we store the ticket category, subject, status, and the messages exchanged, so we can respond to and track your request.

1.5 Alert and Notification Records

To operate balance and usage notifications, we keep a log of alerts triggered on your account (for example, low-balance or usage-spike alerts), including the alert type, message, and delivery state.

2. What We Do Not Collect

SageRouter is a pass-through for your API requests. We do not log, store, or retain the content of your prompts or the content of model responses. When you make a request, the request body is transmitted to the upstream Model provider to generate a response, and only the token counts and cost metadata described in Section 1.3 are recorded by SageRouter. We do not build prompt or chat histories.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

4. Third-Party Model Providers

The Service routes your API requests to third-party Model providers to generate responses. When you use a Model, your request content is transmitted to that Model's provider, and that provider's own data handling, retention, training, and privacy practices apply. SageRouter does not control and is not responsible for how third-party Model providers collect, use, store, or retain your data. Where possible, SageRouter has opted out of model training with the Models it uses. We encourage you to review the privacy practices and terms of each Model provider before using that Model.

5. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (currently Stripe). When you make a payment, your payment method details are provided directly to the processor; SageRouter stores only a reference identifier and transaction metadata (amount, status, and a processor session id), not your full card number or bank details.

6. Data Retention

We retain account, usage, and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the Service, maintain accurate financial records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Because we do not store prompt or response content, there is no such content to retain or delete on our side.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the information we hold, including storing passwords and API keys only as cryptographic hashes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account or API key has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@sagerouter.ai.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may review and update your account information through your account page. You may create and revoke API keys at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information (such as access, correction, or deletion). To exercise any of these rights, or to request deletion of your account, contact us at support@sagerouter.ai.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For changes that materially modify your rights or obligations, we will provide advance notice via email or an in-product notification, consistent with our Terms of Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
